German software giant SAP is expanding its workforce reduction plan due to the willingness of many employees to accept redundancy.<\/p>\n

Instead of the previously planned 8,000 jobs, the company announced on Monday evening that 9,000 to 10,000 of the current jobs will be affected.<\/p>\n

The company, based in the town of Walldorf in south-western Germany, had 105,315 employees at the end of the second quarter, about 3,000 fewer than the previous quarter.<\/p>\n
